1. Data controller
LookForMoney.com is managed by eLand, Lda, Rua Carlos Charbel, 39A, Loja, Cacem, Portugal, the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
For questions about personal data or to exercise your rights, you can use the contact form, the contact details in the Terms and Conditions or the postal address above. Exercising your rights does not depend on accepting the form’s conditions.
2. Data we process
When you contact us, we process your name, email address, offer amount, message and, where provided, company and area of interest. We also record the request date, language, a reference identifier and the versions of the documents presented in the form’s mandatory declaration.
The hosting and security infrastructure may process IP addresses, access dates and times, browser information, requested resources and events needed for operation and abuse prevention. We do not use this information for behavioural advertising or commercial browsing profiles.
We do not request bank details, passwords, identity documents or special categories of personal data through the form. Please do not include them in your message.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use the data to respond to your enquiry and, when requested by you, take pre-contractual steps relating to a potential domain acquisition. Where you contact us on behalf of an organisation, the processing of necessary professional contact details is based on our legitimate interest in answering the request and managing the business relationship.
Processing necessary to protect the site, prevent abuse and preserve evidence of communications is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining security and defending rights. We also comply with applicable legal obligations where they arise.
The mandatory form declaration confirms acceptance of its conditions of use and acknowledgement of this policy. It is not consent to advertising, optional cookies or unspecified purposes. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing lists.
4. Recipients and service providers
Data may be accessed by authorised people involved in responding to enquiries and managing negotiations, hosting and technical-support providers and, where necessary, advisers subject to confidentiality duties or legally competent authorities.
The website and initial form processing use Netlify infrastructure. Messages are forwarded to our own email server. We do not use the form to create a lead database in Netlify Forms. Hosting our email on our own server does not eliminate the technical processing performed by the hosting infrastructure.
We do not sell form data or make it available for third-party advertising campaigns.
5. International transfers
The infrastructure and providers involved may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where an international transfer occurs, the appropriate legal mechanisms apply, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses accompanied by any necessary additional measures.
You may request information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to your data using the contact methods identified in this policy.
6. Retention
Enquiries that do not result in a transaction are retained for no more than 12 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless additional retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Technical security and diagnostic records are retained for up to 30 days, except for information strictly necessary to investigate an incident or comply with a legal obligation. Backups are replaced within a maximum 90-day cycle and are not used for routine purposes; applicable deletions are re-applied following a restoration.
Where a transaction is concluded, data needed to perform it, maintain accounting records and comply with legal obligations is retained for the legally applicable periods for each purpose. Other data is no longer retained when it is no longer necessary.
The cookie-notice preference is stored in your browser for 180 days, as described below.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
This version of the site does not use advertising, analytics or behavioural-tracking cookies. Images and videos are served from the site itself, without external video players.
When you choose to save your notice preference, the first-party cookie lfm_cookie_notice is created. It is necessary to remember that you have acknowledged the notice, contains only the notice version and expires 180 days after being saved. It does not contain a personal identifier and is not used to track browsing.
You can review the details and delete this preference using “Manage cookies” in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. The site and form do not depend on accepting optional cookies.
If optional technologies are introduced in the future, the information and choice mechanisms will be updated before activation, with consent requested where required.
8. Your rights
Where applicable, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You can exercise these rights using the contact methods in section 1. No purchase, acquisition offer or acceptance of marketing is required. We may request only the information reasonably necessary to confirm identity where there are justified doubts.
We normally respond within one month. Where an extension is permitted by law, we will explain the reason and timing within the initial period.
You can complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, or the competent supervisory authority, without prejudice to other ways of protecting your rights.
9. Required information, automated decisions and security
Your name, email, offer amount and currency, message and checked form declaration are required to submit an enquiry through that form. Other fields are optional. Missing necessary information may prevent a response or the handling of your request.
We do not use enquiries for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Security measures include access controls, protected communications and submission validation, although no system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.
10. Changes
The current version is identified by the date at the top of this page. Material changes to processing will be accompanied by any information or choice measures required by law.
